“Every
day you don’t do something, it makes it less likely that you will ever do
something.”—Timothy Snyder
I read this quote in the below article.
Although the article is about politics, that statement can apply to just about
any area of life—health, relationships, wealth, career, family, etc, and any,
ANY decision. I don’t know about you, but the decisions I usually don’t make
are the ones that lead to me to not do something that could improve or add to
my quality of life and my ability to thrive.
Like, losing all of my extra weight; planning a vacation; renovating my
house… Wow, seeing it written out in
black and white is a little depressing---but at the same, it is inspiring! Are there any life improvement decisions that you’re dragging your feet on?
Back to the quote, it supports what my sister, the coach, has been sharing with her clients all year--action is the answer. As a matter of fact, in our kitchen on the dry erase board that hangs on the wall she has written (in huge letters), "ACTION". there's some other stuff related to that concept that you'd think I would have memorized by now. It's only been on the board since the beginning of the year and I'm in the kitchen at least 6 times a day!. But she's right. Lisa Nichols, in her book "Abundance Now" put it this way, "action is the answer to everything" (I think I quoted that right:). Sometimes I need to hear the same message a thousand different ways before it sinks in; I think this article is the 999th. And you know what? I'm ok with that because I feel one step closer to.....everything, lol.
By the way, I’m including the article I
referenced below. These days I try to avoid political news but I thought this
was good article. The interviewee gave what I thought were some objectively
based (and non-incendiary) ideas on the possible results of the actions of our
current president and his team. He also
gave some practical suggestions on what we can do as individuals and a timeline
for action. For anyone who is a little or a lot worried
about the fate of our country under our current president, this might be a good
read.
